Culture of Goan

I am expressing my views on culture of Goa

Goa, a former portuguese colony, is called "Rome of the East". It is considered as the most westernized state of the Indian Territory as the inhabitants of Goa adopted western culture. Goa is inriched with cultural heritage that include folk songs, dances, music, visual arts and folk songs.

Being the coastal area, the main occupation of the people of Goa is fishing. Once the fact of being in the coast Goa also boasts of a fertile area and so agriculture is also practiced in this area. Some of the commonly cultivated crops here include long-length bananas, ragi, paddy, jowar, pulses etc.
